Democracy : You scratch my back and I will scratch yours

Well, although most people, believe democracy is good and America says, India is one of the best examples of democracy, I can only laugh at it.

By the way, one of the democratic differences between USA and India is, in USA, you can kiss in public, but not shit. And in India, you can shit in public, but not kiss.

In the name of democracy, what the government does is to try to keep every one happy. And that's never going to be possible.

Take for eg. the nuke deal, when Manmohan Singh, wanted to go ahead with it, he had to face obstacles.

The point is, even when the P.M. wants to take a right decision, which will help India go forward, he first has to check the mood of the people in his office, and also opposition, he has to care for his vote bank.

As frustrating, as it sounds, it is a sad reality.

So, ultimately, the P.M. does not have the ultimate authority to do more for the nation.

I believe, if India has to do progress quickly and at a stead fast rate, first of all, the Government has to be honest about it. And that's highly unlikely.

And, even if there are a few honest leaders in the system, they have to please other people in power to go ahead with their decision due to this system.

Or, India needs a good dictator who has taking India forward in mind. And, who is not tied with democratic rules. Who can take decisions quickly for the betterment of India.

Bottom line :

Such democracy is not going to take us anywhere.
